In order to adapt to the new learning style at Internet age, to enhance teaching quality, and to improve pedagogy, the college’s 2016 Mini Course Teaching Demo came to the final competition on the afternoon of May 25 after several rounds of selection at the department level.
College administrators attach great importance to this activity. President, vice-presidents and council members all attended the final. Dean Ren Jianhong made opening remarks on the importance of holding Mini Course Teaching Demo in relation to the college teaching reform, Internet challenge and students’ learning psychology .
Six young faculty members presented short, unique, and wonderful teaching to over 100 faculty members. Within a dozen minutes, they gave in-depth teaching with great mastery of multi-media tools ,body languages, and teacher-student interactions, fully demonstrating each person’s sound teaching skills and unique teaching styles.
The competition invites experienced faculty members from the college’s teaching supervision team as official judges. Audiences were also encouraged to give their scores to the contestants. As a result, Gong Xiangmei from the Education Department won the first prize. Huang Yalu from the Department of International Business Management won the second prize. Li Lusha won the third prize.
