On the afternoon of May 24, college’s first The Best Lesson competition was held, with the attendance of Council Chair Chen Zhongying and college administrators.
The competition was hosted by the Dean’s Office for college young faculty on the purpose of enhancing their teaching skill. Selected by the departments and approved by the Dean’s Office, ten faculty members competed in the competition. Every one of them was given 15 minutes. Scores were given to teaching performance and PPT presentations by a panel composed of eight teaching mentors and teachers. After fierce competition, Yi Haoqing from the Department of Art and Design won the Special Prize. Vice President Huang Jianhua gave comments in the end, pointing out the strength and weakness of competition participants and making requirements on the improvement of in class teaching.
The Best Lesson Competition is a platform for teaching exchanges and communication among college faculty and will play a positive role in the enhancement of college teaching.
