On the afternoon of September 9, Hwa Nan solemnly held the meeting to celebrate the 36th Teacher’s Day and to commend teachers for teaching in Hwa Nan for thirty years. The meeting was attended by old teacher representatives Ma Xiufa and He Xiaozhi, Council Chair Su Mengna, President Ren Jianhong, Party Secretary Wang Haiyan, Vice President Huang Leijing and Zhang Qiuping, Deputy Party Secretary Wu Lanjia, faculty, staff and 230 students. Vice President Huang Leijing chaired the meeting.
President Ren Jianhong on behalf of Hwa Nan leadership conveyed respect and greetings to all faculty and staff. She spoke highly of all faculty and staff’s hard work amid the COVID-19 epidemic. She praised them for keeping the mission firmly in mind, for continuing on-line teaching, and remaining at the post for safeguarding the campus. She wished all faculty and staff stay true to the original aspirations of serving the country through teaching, undertake the mission of cultivating talents, work dedicatedly and diligently, take responsibilities, make new progress, and jointly seek new development and glory for Hwa Nan.
Ten teachers were honored for thirty years’teaching in Hwa Nan. They are Su Mengna, Ren Jianhong, Huang Leijing, Yu Rongmin, Lin Han, Huang Xiaohong, Liu Hui, Lin Xiao, Fang Hua, and Dong Xiupinig, who were commended for following the footsteps of the elder Hwa Nan alumnae, working dedicatedly and diligently, committing time and energy to Hwa Nan and to the teaching career. Yu Rongmin, Huang Xiaohong and Liu Hui gave emotional and touching speeches, demonstrating the passion for teaching with neither complaint nor regret. Participants expressed sincere congratulations and respect with rounds of applause.
Before closing, seventeen new teachers and students from Preschool Education solemnly swore of staying true to the original aspiration and mission of imparting knowledge and cultivating people, and fostering virtue in education.
