On April 12, President Ren Jianhong, Vice President Huang Leijing and Vice President Zhang Qiuping made a trip to Shaowu City, researching on the issues of the integration between industry and education and the transition of secondary and higher vocational schools.

The group was warmly received by Secretary of Shaowu Municipal Party Committee  Wu Guoshun, Member of the Standing Committee of Municipal Party Committee and Propaganda Department Director Gong Jianchun, Municipal Education Bureau Director Chen Shengliang and Deputy Director Xie Jianfeng.

Accompanied by Director Gong Jianchun, Director Chen Shengliang and Deputy Director Xie Jianfeng, the group visited Shaowu Jintang Industrial Park, Suburban Economic Development Zone, Secondary vocational schools, the location of vocational education campus in the plan, get to know about the industry layout, employment conditions and vocational education in Shaowu.

At the meeting afterwards, Director Gong Jianchun gave a detailed introduction about the development of the city’s new industrial system “242”, and the request put forward by the municipal party committee and the municipal government about developing vocational education, precisely docking the needs of industries, and building a vocational education campus with high standards.  Director Chen Shengliang introduced  the city’s target of building a strong education and the city’s vocational education development.  He wished Hwa Nan and Shaowu vocational education sectors will have in-depth cooperation in various ways to promote the high quality growth of vocational education in Shaowu.

President Ren Jianhong expressed appreciation for the hospitality and introduced Hwa Nan’s history, basic information, and featured programs.  She said Hwa Nan will strengthen cooperation with Shaowu Secondary Vocational School in admission, teaching and faculty development for the smooth transition from the secondary to the higher vocational education.  She pointed out that talent cultivation of some relevant program group of Hwa Nan fits with the talent needs of signature industries in Shaowu.  She expected that Hwa Nan will develop cooperation with Shaowu city in multi aspects to promote integration of enterprises with vocational education, to support the high skilled talent needs for the social and economic development of Shaowu city and to contribute to the top-notch vocational program development of Hwa Nan.
