On the afternoon of November 22, the 34th Student Congress was successfully convened in Classroom Building 1-101.  Because of the epidemic prevention and control situation, the congress was held both offline and online.  Deputy Party Secretary Wu Lanjia, Deputy Youth League Committee Secretary Liu Xiaoyan and Huang Xuenan, Youth League Branch Secretaries and seventy-two representatives from different departments attended the Congress.  

 The congress started in the solemn national anthem.  The 37th Student Union President Qiu Daeng on behalf of the 37th Student Union Committee reported to the congress on the work of the student union.  He reviewed and summed up the work undertaken and the achievement made by the Student Union since the 33rd Student Congress.  He pointed out the goals for the Student Union in the next stage.  According to the agenda, the congress adopted the election procedure.  The method of nominating a greater number of candidates than the number of persons to be elected and on line voting were used in the election.  Through secret ballot, the congress elected Yang Siying, Liu Yongqi, and Zhou Xuefa to be the presidium members of the new Student Union.

 The congress successfully concluded in the song of the Glorious Communist Youth League of China.
