On October 20, the selection result was announced for the first Best College Counselor and Best College Counselor Nominees, an event launched by the Publicity Department of the CPC Fujian Provincial Committee and the Education Commission of CPC Fujian Provincial Committee. 

Hwa Nan Education Department Branch Party Secretary Lei Ming received nomination for the first Best College Counselor, the only nominee from private schools.

The first nomination and demonstration of the Best College Counselor aims to better cultivate and promote college counselor role models in the new era, demonstrate excellent achievements of college counselor team building, and encourage all counselors to look up to the role models,    to use The thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era to educate and guide students, to love students, to concentrate on education, to enhance ability, and to become students’ life coaches and close friends.
