On the afternoon of April 22, Fujian Financial Aid Center organized a student financial aid virtual meeting.  Deputy Party Secretary Wu Lanjia, Student Affairs Office, Party Branch Secretaries and all counselors watched the meeting in Yu Baosheng Lecture Hall.

Representatives from higher education institutions shared their student aid working experience.  Deputy Director Li Ping of Fujian Student Aid Management Center summarized the work of the student aid in the year of 2021, and laid out plans for 2022.  She stressed the importance of  building a strong sense of service, paying attention to students’ inquiries and complaints, setting up emergency responses to public opinions, pursuing progress while ensuring stability, and forging a new development pattern.  In conclusion, Level I Bureau Rank Official of Fujian Education Department Li Xun said in the first year of the period covered by the 14th Five-Year Plan, we should shoulder new responsibilities providing targeted assistance to students to ensure excellent results are achieved by the time the 20th National Congress is convened.

In recent years, Hwa Nan’s student aid program has progressed slowly but surely and yielded many results.  In 2008, the college was accredited Student Aid Standardization Unit.  In 2021, Hwa Nan was designated as the training spot for Fujian Talent Endeavor and Growth Base.  During pandemic, the college took multiple measures to assist 229 students in need and released 11,450RMB to subsidize their internet expenses for online learning.

In the new ear, Hwa Nan based on the college conditions, will plan and improve the student aid system to reach a new stage.
