On the morning of September 15, the school-opening ceremony for 2740 new students of Class 2022 was held in the sports field.  Council Chair Yu Rongmin, President Ren Jianhong, Party Secretary Li Tingwang, Vice President Zhang Quiping, Vice President Huang Leijing, Party Deputy Secretary Wu Lanjia, all faculty and staff attended the ceremony.

The ceremony started in the solemn national anthem.  President Ren Jianhong on behalf of all faculty and staff delivered warm welcome to the new students.  She said throughout the history, Hwa Nan has always shared weal and woes with the country and engaged in the vocational education serving the livelihood of the people.  Hwa Nan has achieved fruitful results and been highly commended by the country and the society.   She emphasized students love what they choose and be responsible to themselves, have ideals and assume obligations to the country, and have a strong sense of responsibility for the society.  She hoped students always keep in mind the motto of “self improvement, exploration, diligence and dedication”, strive to become technical professionals and consummate craftsmen in the new era,  create Hwa Nan’s new stories, and make new achievements in the new era.
