Hwa Nan Co-Organized the 4th Skill Competition for Persons with Disability of Fuzhou City

 

 

Between February 22 and 24, the Fourth Skill Competition for Persons with Disability of Fuzhou City was successfully held in Yong Tai County. The event was hosted by Fuzhou Disabled Person’s Federation, Fuzhou Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, Fuzhou Municipal Finance Bureau, organized by Fuzhou Employment Service Center for the Disabled of Fuzhou, and co-organized by Hwa Nan.

The competition spans fourteen skills in four categories, including web design, text processing, photographing, poster design, bamboo weaving, knitting, paper cutting, clothes making, pottery, flower arrangement, hairdressing, manicures, Chinese pastry making and therapeutic massage. Thirteen delegations from cities, counties, districts and Fuzhou Polytechnic and over two hundred and thirty contestants competed in two arenas.

As an co-organizer, Hwa Nan attached great importance to the event, establishing a leading group and holding meetings to plan, promote, and prepare the event. Hwa Nan provided warm, attentive and meticulous services to the contestants and referees to ensure the success of the event.

The Skill Competition for Persons with Disability of Fuzhou City was held every four years to further implementation of the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress, Xi's important expositions on the programs for the disabled and his important instruction on skilled workers. The competition strengthens the employment training for people with disabilities, taps into their potential, opens employment to them, provides an important platform to demonstrate their skills, upgrade their competency and create opportunity for their development and accomplishment. The competition is fully recognized and well received by people with disabilities and the society.
