This spring, College Consultant and Volunteer Teacher Gordon Trimble and his wife Sonia Trimble returned to Hwa Nan on January 17. They are the first batch of returning foreign teachers after the adjustment of COVID prevention and control policies of China.
Hwa Nan were fully prepared for their return. On January 16, Hwa Nan leaders sent FAO deputy director Shuqing Yang to meet them at Xia Men Airport. The leaders also planned the accommodation and set up arrangements for medical staff and teachers to be on duty. After three-day health monitoring at home, leaders paid visits to them at the International Faculty House, thanking them for having Hwa Nan at their heart and determinedly returning to school after the pandemic. They wished them healthy and happy life at Hwa Nan.
