On the afternoon of April 9, Vice Chair of Hong Kong Board of Trustees and Chair of Fuman(HK) Co. Ltd. Mingsen Lin visited Hwa Nan with his families. They toured the campus, Hwa Nan History Gallery, and Fuman Building in the accompany of Council Chair Rongmin Yu, President Jianhong Ren, Party Secretary Tingwang Li, Vice President Qiuping Zhang and Vice President Leijing Huang.
President Ren introduced about Hwa Nan’s education ideology, distinctive education features, and recent development. In front of Fuman Building donated by Vice Chair Mingsen Lin, President Ren presented him a cork carving gift of Fuman Building which is hand crafted by an intangible heritage inheritor and thanked him for his long care and support for Hwa Nan. She wished Hong Kong Board of Trustees continue giving suggestions and helping bring Hwa Nan to a new level.
Vice Chair Lin thanked Hwa Nan for the warm hospitality and offered his views and advice on the high quality development of Hwa Nan. He said he will remain supporting Hwa Nan’s development and help Hwa Nan with the integration between industry and education and co-nurturing talents.
Vice Chair Mingsen Lin’s ancestral home was Shangjie, Minhou. He held positions of CPPCC National Committee Member, President of Hong Kong Fukien Chamber of Commerce, Chair and Chief Supervisor of Hong Kong Federation of Fuzhou Associations, Lifetime Honorary Chairpersons of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, Hong Kong and Hong Kong Fukien Chamber of Commerce, Honorary Consultant of HK Federation of Fujian Associations, Honorary President of World Federation of Fuzhou Associations, Consultant of All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, Chair and Vice-Chair of Hong Kong Board of Trustees of Fujian Hwa Nan Women’s College. He made donations to the construction of Fuman Building, paid visits to Hwa Nan giving his guidance, and sent hand written new year’s greeting cards to Hwa Nan each year showing his care and support for Hwa Nan. His devotion to the hometown and the education greatly encourages Hwa Nan students to take responsibility and become qualified builders of the country.
