To welcome the upcoming International Nurses Day and carry forward the Florence Nightingale Spirit of saving lives and making selfless contributions, Hwa Nan held the International Nurses Day Celebration and Candle Lighting - Capping Ceremony for nursing students of Grade 2021 on the evening of May 10.  

 Council Chair Rongmin Yu, President Jianhong Ren, Party Secretary Tingwang Li, Vice President Qiuping Zhang, Deputy Secretary Lanjia Wu, four hundred leaders, teachers and students from Nursing Major and the Department of Health Services attended the ceremony.  Xiaohuan Chen, Nursing Department Director from Fujian Provincial Hospital Jinshan Branch, Jinglu Zhu, Former Deputy Director from Fuzhou Children’s Hospital, Xiaoxia Wang, Academic Leader of Nursing Major and other senior nurses were specially invited to the ceremony.

 Vice President Qiuping Zhang extended festive greetings to all teachers and students of Nursing Major.  She introduced the background, the scope and the talent training of the newly established major of Nursing.  She hoped all students devote their energy and passion to the upcoming clinical training and match actions to words so as to live up to the expectations of the hospital and the school.

Following on the song of Chinese Nurses, the solemn capping ceremony started.  Five seasoned nurses capped nursing students.

  Led by Xiaohuan Chen, Nursing Department Director from Fujian Provincial Hospital Jinshan Branch , nursing students holding candles stood up and recited the pledge to uphold the ideals of the nursing profession.

 Afterwards, Hwa Nan leaders acknowledged the teams winning the first, the second and the third prizes in Hwa Nan Nursing Skill Competition.
