On the evening of May 6, Fuzhou University Town Student Chorus Show and the opening ceremony of Fuzhou University Town Culture and Art Festival was held at Fuzhou University Town Culture and Arts Center.

The show started with the song “Houguan Is My Home” performed by students from various universities, demonstrating the long history and the unique charm of Houguan.  Thirteen universities staged the amazing chorus performance.  Hwa Nan all female chorus passionately performed the song “the sea of the stars”, showing amazing vibrancy and great passion of the youth to welcome the new era and embark on a new journey.  Hwa Nan also organized a cheer squad of eighty-two students to cheer and chant for the performance.

The event was organized by Fujian Education Department and the People’s Government of Fuzhou Municipality, hosted by Fujian Normal University and supported by eleven universities and college at Fuzhou University Town.  Around one thousand people participated.  They are from the General Office of Fujian Provincial Party Committee, Fujian Education Department, Fujian Media Group, the People’s Government of Fuzhou Municipality, and thirteen universities and colleges at the University Town.
