On the morning of June 29, Cross Strait Senior Care Industry Forum (Fuzhou) jointly hosted by Fuzhou Municipal Civil Services Bureau, Hong Kong and Macau Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Fuzhou, Fuzhou Chengtou Group officially opened.  President Jianhong Ren attended the forum.

On the afternoon of June 29, three sub-forums themed on “ Elderly Care and Health Industry”, “Elderly Home Care and Assistive Appliances”,  “Elderly Education and Elderly Care Talent Training”were held.

Hwa Nan organized the sub-forum “Elderly Education and Elderly Care Talent Training”.  It sparked interest among elderly care professionals, scholars, and employees across the Strait.  Dean Shaofang Pan chaired the forum. More than a dozen experts and scholars shared their views on the topic.  Eight of them are from Taiwan, including Fujian Taiwan Human Resource Development Council Chair Xiaoci Wang and Sociology Department Professor of National Taiwan University and Standing Director of Taiwan Senior Population Association Chengtai Xue.  Others are from Fuzhou An Xin Yuan Investment Consultation Company, Fujian Household Service Federation, Wei Shang Consumer Service Company, Xiamen Lotus Heart Nursing Home, Fujian Health College, Fujian Vocational College of Bioengineering, Fujian Preschool Education College, and Fujian Zhong Hua Technician College.  Around one hundred college teachers, students and employees attended the sub-forum.

Vice President Qiuping Zhang gave a speech entitled “strengthening elderly care talent training and assisting elderly care development”,  expounding upon the experience, effects, thoughts and suggestions on Hwa Nan’s running the smart health and elderly care service and management program for more than a decade.

The forum served as a platform for exchanges among experts across the Strait, and promoted cooperation among universities, enterprises and federations.  It will play a positive role in elderly care talent training across the Strait.
