Council Chair Yu and President Ren Pay a Visit to Hong Kong


On November 20, Council Chair Yu Rongmin and President Ren Jianhong made a trip to Hong Kong attending the inaugural meeting of Fujian-Hong Kong Vocational and Applied Education Alliance.  The alliance was initiated by Education Working Group of Fujian- Hong Kong Cooperation Consultative Committee, which aims to promote the vocational and applied education exchange and collaboration between Fujian and Hong Kong.  The inauguration is generously supported by the governments of Fujian and Hong Kong.  Hwa Nan is one of the first batch members of the alliance and will take the meeting as an opportunity to explore new models and ways of talent training, speed up establishing a long-term mechanism for precise cooperation and deep communication, and provide more talent support for social and economic development.

After the meeting, Council Chair Yu and President Ren visited a member unit of the Alliance Tung Wah College of Hong Kong.  In President Chen Huici’s company, they visited the nursing training room.  After that, both sides sat down giving introduction of their education direction, education features and programs and discussing the cooperation in students’ degree advancement, faculty training and short term exchanges.

During the meeting, Vice Chair of Hwa Nan Hong Kong Board of Trustees Mr. Lin Mingsen came to the hotel and met with Council Chair Yu and President Ren.  Chair Yu and President Ren also visited Director Gao Yuding of Hwa Nan Hong Kong Board of Trustees,  Hong Kong alumni, and Hong Kong Community of Fuzhou Associations, introducing them Hwa Nan development plan and welcoming them to visit and support Hwa Nan.
