A prosperous New Year is coming.  Happy New Year to Everybody!

Welcoming the first sunrise in 2024, we are at a new point in time full of appreciations and expectations.  We would thank leaders at all levels, friends from across the society, Hwa Nan alumni worldwide, retirees, faculty, staff and your families for caring and supporting the development of Hwa Nan over the years.

In 2023, we sweated and we toiled as we pressed ahead with concrete efforts for achievements.  Centering around the basic task of fostering virtue through education and sustainably boosting education vitality, Hwa Nan made laudable achievements in party building and ideological-political education, teaching and research, talent training, student recruitment and graduate employment, faculty development, culture cultivation, and international cooperation.  Hwa Nan’s social impact has been notably improved.

We are much obliged to leaders at all levels for caring and supporting us in the past year.  You mentor and counsel us on accomplishing major initiatives and overcoming difficulties.  You help us stay on the course and steering us through the emergency.

We very much appreciate the help of Hwa Nan alumni worldwide over the past year.  You regard Hwa Nan as your home, keep close contacts with Hwa Nan, and consistently provide intellectual support, information support, material support and moral support for high quality development of Hwa Nan in the new era.

We are grateful to the generous assistance from foreign teachers over the past year.  You bear Hwa Nan in mind and return to Hwa Nan campus immediately after the pandemic, building bridges for international exchanges, strengthening school’s international features,  publicizing historic ties and stories between you and Hwa Nan, and introducing Hwa Nan to the world.

We are moved by the great care from Hwa Nan retirees over the past year.  After retirement, you still keep Hwa Nan in mind and contribute your share to the rapid growth of Hwa Nan.  Hwa Nan today is inseparable from your hard work and dedication.  It is the result of blood and sweat put in by you. 

We very much appreciate the hard work of all faculty and staff and the support from your families over the past year.   In an era full of opportunities and challenges, all Hwa Nan people cope with pressure, overcome difficulties, stay true to the original aspiration, and row hard to forge ahead.  The families, who leave a light on for you late at night and hand you a cup of warm water when you are tired, are also heroes of Hwa Nan.  Every achievement made is a result of your efforts and wisdom.  Every breakthrough is a record of your endeavor and perseverance.   It is you who advance Hwa Nan Family steadily into the future. 

The New Year’s bell has rang, taking the past away and bringing new hope and dream to us.  Let’s embrace the New Year with passion and write together new glory for Hwa Nan!
