On the morning of November 17, a launching ceremony “refreshing Fujian: starting point of maritime silk road” for Promotion of Fujian Tourist Attractions on College Campus was held at Hwa Nan.  The event was hosted by Fujian Tourism Promotion Center, Fujian Tourism Association, and Fujian Hwa Nan Women’s College and organized by Hwa Nan Tourism Services Department, Photography Branch of Fujian Tourism Association.  Chair of Tourism Services Department Chen Weiwei moderated the ceremony.

President Ren Jianhong, Party Secretary Li Tingwang, officials from Fujian Tourism Promotion Center, Fujian Tourism Association, heads from tourist attractions of Tai Mu Mountain, Shi Niu Mountain, and Gu Xi Xing River attended the ceremony.  President Ren delivered a welcome speech and Vice President of Fujian Tourism Association spoke at the ceremony.

Program Director of Tourism Management Program of Hwa Nan Huang Yunwen promoted main tourist attractions of Fujian to students, giving introduction of rich tourist resources of Fujian, presenting a refreshing Fujian with history, culture, story and hospitality, offering diverse choices of leisure activities and academic research tours.

Promotional booths were set up at the site for giving out free gifts, answering travel service inquiries, and playing interactive games, which attracted enthusiastic participation.  The exhibition area of landscape photography of Fujian scenic spots were packed with viewers.  Students from Hwa Nan Tourism Management Program guided viewers to appreciate the meanings and charms of cultural tourism, which was warmly welcomed by students.

Tourism Service Department of Hwa Nan focuses on cultivating skilled talents for the development of cultural and tourism industry by building up students’ craftsmanship of dedication and pursuit of quality, and training their job skills .  The event of Promotion of Fujian Tourist Attractions on College Campus help students learn about the local scenery and the native culture and improve their skills in narration, route design, planning, and video making.
