In order to further improve the quality of talent training and meet the needs of social development, and promote talent training work, the Academic Affairs Office organized a seminar on revising the 2024 talent training program on the afternoon of April 23, 2024. Vice President Zhang Qiuping attended the meeting, and Heads of Marxism School and other departments, program directors and leaders participated in the discussion. The meeting was chaired by Pan Shaofang, Dean of Academic Affairs Office.
Dean Pan Shaofang made a detailed explanation and deployment of the revision of the 2024 talent training program from the aspects of Hwa Nan's positioning and development goals, the problems existing in the talent training, the main ways to solve the problems, and the work requirements in combination with the requirements of the superior department's inspection and evaluation of the formulation and implementation of the talent training program. She put forward opinions and suggestions on the reform of the training program, focusing on the revision object and the framework. She stressed that all units should carefully study and conduct extensive research, scientifically anchor training objectives, and optimize the curriculum system and teaching content.
At the meeting, Zhang Hong, Academic Leader of Big Data and Accounting Program, and Jiang Limei, Director of Preschool Education, shared their experiences on the revision of the five-year talent training plan and the assessment of the transition period. Tian Zhongyu, Director of Public and Foundation Course Department, explained the course adjustment of sports, aesthetic education, and labor education. Lu Fang, Executive Dean of the School of Marxism, explained the ideological and political theory curriculum setting and adjustment according to the spirit of the relevant documents of the Central Propaganda Department and the Ministry of Education. Participants actively discussed and expressed their opinions and suggestion.
Vice President Zhang Qiuping once again emphasized the importance of revising the talent training program in her concluding speech. She asked all majors to carry out in-depth research, objectively summarize the current training program operation, take the national program teaching standards as a reference, learn from high-level colleges and universities with similar programs, widely listen to the opinions of teachers, students, experts inside and outside the school, employers and graduates, make rational analysis of program positioning, program development status and trend as well as knowledge and competency needed for economic and social development before making final decision on the training program and innovative talent training system.
