On May 18, the provincial main venue of the 2024 Fujian Vocational Education Week was held in Jinjiang, Quanzhou.  At the event, the list of the first twenty Maritime Silk Road College of Fujian Province was announced, and the Columbia Icesi Maritime Silk Road College of Hwa Nan was selected and awarded the plague.

Being awarded the  Columbia Icesi Maritime Silk Road College  is a new starting point of Hwa Nan for China-Columbia vocational education of digital cultural creation. Hwa Nan will take this opportunity to further strengthen international educational exchanges and cooperation, optimize the talent training model and vocational training mechanism, enhance its internal motivation for innovation and change, and strive to play an active role in spreading Chinese culture, serving the Belt and Road national initiative and the cultural and economic development of the core area of the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road.
