On the morning of June 19, the 2024 commencement was held in the college auditorium. Council Chair Yu Rongmin, President Ren Jianhong, Party Secretary Li Tingwang, Vice President Zhang Qiuping and Huang Leijing, Deputy Party Secretary Wu Lanjia, department heads and party branch secretaries, program directors, student counselors, and student representatives all witnessed this wonderful moment. The ceremony was mastered by Vice President Leijing Huang.
The ceremony began with the solemn national anthem. In her speech, President Ren Jianhong fully affirmed the excellent achievements made by the graduates, and hoped that the students would stick to the good ideals, always have a heart of gold, persist in practice and exploration, carry forward the school motto spirit of self-improvement, exploration, diligence and dedication, bravely shoulder the heavy responsibility entrusted by the Times in the voyage of life, let the youth burn and shine, and achieve an extraordinary life.
President Ren Jianhong and Secretary Li Tingwang read out the list of 2024 graduates and the list of outstanding graduates respectively, and the school leaders jointly presented them certificates and awards, and took a group photo.
Lin Yepeng representing graduating students reviewed the three years of study at Hwa Nan, expressed his gratitude to the school and the teachers and extended his best wishes to fellow students. Liu Xiaowen representing student body recalled the love and care given by the senior students and wished them a bright future. Teacher Zheng Lin shared her entrepreneurial experience and encouraged graduates to pursue their dreams without fear of the unknown.
The ceremony specially invited Ms. Xiao Yandan, outstanding Hwa Nan alumni, National Senior Care Service Outstanding Person, General Manager of Fujian Tianle Senior Care Service Co., to share her successful caree experience. She encouraged the students to make good use of what they have learned in the school, firm their belief and courageously strive forward.
Vice President Huang Leijing encouraged the students to follow the example of Xiao Yandan and live a wonderful life. She announced the names of alumni liaisons appointed by Alumni Office of Fujian Hwa Nan Women’s College. Council Chair Yu Rongmin and President Ren Jianhong presented the letter of appointment to the liaisons, hoping that they could actively play the role of bridge between Hwa Nan and alumni, unite and lead the alumni to actively contribute to the development of Hwa Nan.
In the end of the ceremony, students from the Department of Culture and Education sang the chorus of Dreamers to bless the senior students who are about to sail afar.
