Recently, the Teaching Ability Competition of 2024 Fujian Vocational College Skills Competition held by the Fujian Provincial Department of Education came to a successful conclusion.  After the online preliminary evaluation and on-site final competition, the teaching team of Hwa Nan excelled with solid teaching skills, advanced teaching concepts and excellent teaching methods.  TikTok Operation Practice taught by Chen Jianxia, Lin Xiao, Xu Min and enterprise tutor Wang Lisheng won the second prize of Higher Vocational Education Group I.  “Concrete Engineering Measurement and Valuation” taught by Yu Xiudi, Li Xueying, Cai Yuhua and Wu Aihua won the third prize of Higher Vocational Education Group II.

Hwa Nan adheres to promoting teaching, research, reform and construction through competition, attaches great importance to faculty development and attaches great importance to the teaching ability.  Through the establishment of the three-level teaching ability competition mechanism, all teachers are encouraged to actively prepare for the competition, improve teaching quality in the competition, and hone professional skills in the competition.  Since the opening of this teaching ability competition at the beginning of the year, Hwa Nan has integrated multiple resources to support teachers in the competition.  The Academic Affairs Office organized the event, invited a number of experts to carry out multiple rounds of training work, and made every effort to serve the teachers in the process.  With the strong support from various offices of the school, the participating teams went all out to participate in the competition, repeatedly discussed the teaching implementation plan, concentrated on the design of teaching activities, and constantly optimized the video of the competition, and finally achieved good results.

The results of this competition affirms the hard work of the teachers, and reflects the continuous improvement of education and teaching quality and teachers' professional ability.  In the future, Hwa Nan will give full play to the demonstration and leading role of the competition, further promote the reform of the three education systems, promote the comprehensive improvement of teachers' comprehensive quality, professional level and innovative ability, and provide high-quality teachers for the comprehensive improvement of talent training.
