On August 19, 2024, under the careful arrangement and in the company of Assistant President Lin Xu, International College Director Zhou Shilin of Thonburi University, Vice President Huang Leijing, Dean of School of Continuing Education Liu San visited the Thai-Chinese Culture Union. They were warmly welcomed and received by Executive Vice Chairman Xu Mingjie and Vice President Chen Jian. The two sides conducted in-depth and friendly exchanges on China-Thailand cultural and educational cooperation in a warm and harmonious atmosphere.
Vice President Huang Leijing first introduced overseas Chinese of Thai-Chinese Culture Union the long history of Hwa Nan which spans 116 years, and emphasized the original mission of education for education's sake and the pragmatic philosophy of running a school. She stressed that Hwa Nan’s remarkable achievements made in the 40 years since its re-establishment could not have been achieved without the support and selfless dedication of patriotic overseas Chinese, entrepreneurs and alumni from all over the world. She expressed high admiration of the fighting spirit and patriotic heart of overseas Chinese, and sincerely invited overseas Chinese from Thailand to visit Hwa Nan, hoping that Hwa Nan and Thai-Chinese Culture Union can carry out cooperation in cross-border e-commerce, talent recommendation, cultural exchange and other aspects.
Mr. Xu Mingjie also briefed the delegation on the development process and important achievements of Thai-Chinese Culture Union since its establishment. He stressed that the Thai-Chinese Culture Union is committed to spreading and inheriting Chinese culture, actively uniting and helping overseas Chinese in Thailand, striving to build their spiritual home, and building a solid bridge for the friendship and cultural exchanges between the two peoples.
Both sides expressed that it is of great practical significance and far-reaching historical significance to strengthen the multidimensional cooperation between the Chinese and Thai people in the fields of culture, ideology, education and national rejuvenation. They hope that the two sides will further strengthen exchanges and exchanges, share information resources and work together to make contributions to the in-depth exchanges between the Chinese and Thai people in the field of culture and education.
