On the morning of August 9, under the guidance of Fujian Provincial China Vocational Education Association and Fujian Provincial Tourism Association, and sponsored by Fujian Provincial Tourism Development Group, Huaqiao University and Zhangzhou Institute of Technology, the conference of the establishment of the Digital Cultural Tourism and Education Tourism Industry-Education Integration Community was held in Fuzhou, jointly with 130 enterprises, industry associations and related colleges and cities across the country.   As the first governing unit of the Community, Hwa Nan was invited to attend the conference.  Chen Weiwei, Chair of the Tourism Service Department, and Huang Yunwen, Director of the Tourism Management major, attended the event on behalf of the school and witnessed the event with more than 180 representatives of member units of the community across the country.

With the purpose of platform co-construction, resource sharing, talent co-education, technology co-research, and result sharing and the goal of integration of research, learning, production and education, integration of digital intelligence, science and education, the Digital Cultural Tourism and Education Tourism Industry-Education Integration Community is committed to build an industry development platform with Fujian characteristics which effectively connects to the national platform, and establish a benchmark for the high-quality integrated development of digital cultural tourism and education tourism between industry and education in the new era.

 Hwa Nan is also the starting place for Fujian tourism brand to enter the campus.  Over the years, the tourism management major has closely followed the development trend of education tourism, actively organized teachers and students to participate in various skill competitions, and won the third prize in the education tour skill competition in the first Fujian Vocational College Skill Competition.  The major also focuses on close ties with the industry, and establishes in-depth school-enterprise cooperation with leading enterprises such as national excellent education camps.  This year, five graduates were recommended to intern at these camps and won universal appraisal of staff from the camps.

 The conference is one of the series activities of the 16th Straits Forum and Cross-Strait Vocational Education Forum, which is of practical significance in strengthening mutual learning between the two sides across the Straits and in promoting high-quality economic development on both sides.  We will take this opportunity to closely follow the policy guidelines, firmly grasp the trend of digital cultural tourism, deepen research in the field of education tourism, and provide more high-quality and highly skilled applied talents for Fujian cultural tourism industry. At the same time, we will also actively participate in the activities and work of the Community, and work together with all parties to jointly promote the in-depth development of digital cultural tourism and education tourism and the integration between industry and education.
