From October 28 to 31, the Final of Textile Course II (Clothing Design and Craft Competition) of the 2024 World Vocational College Skills Competition was successfully held in Chongqing Industrial and Commercial School of Light Industry.  The competition brought together 48 teams from 29 provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the central Government, cities separately listed in the state plan, and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps,  with a total of 192 contestants.

Weng Jingying and Li Yan, admitted in 2021 to the five-year specialty program of clothing and costume design jointly run by Hwa Nan and Fuzhou Finance Vocational Technical School, and two other students formed a four-member team to compete in the Competition. They showed good professionalism and craftsman spirit with high spirit, skilled professional and technical skills and tacit team cooperation in the competition, and finally stood out and won the Bronze Award.

The excellent results achieved in this competition are the result of the joint efforts and hard work of teachers and students, which fully demonstrates the excellent professional skills and good professional quality of the contestants. Hwa Nan will continue to deepen the reform of education and teaching, actively build more and larger exchanges platforms between technical schools and vocational colleges, encourage teachers and students to participate in high-level competitions, broaden their horizons, enhance their comprehensive competitiveness, and cultivate more high-quality skilled talents with international vision and innovative ability.
