Hwa Nan Students Achieved Excellent Results in the Cross-Strait, Hong Kong and Macao Vocational Skills Competition for College Students


Recently, the 11th Cross-Strait, Hong Kong and Macao Vocational Skills Competition for College Students came to a successful conclusion.  The Competition is sponsored by the Fujian Provincial Department of Education, Fujian Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, Fujian Provincial Internet Information Office, Pingtan Comprehensive Experimental Area Management Committee.  Under the guidance of the instructors, Hwa Nan students stood out among the many contestants with excellent performance and solid professional skills, and won a total of 21 awards, including 4 first prizes, 10 second prizes, and 7 third prizes.

As an annual provincial key competition, the Cross-Strait, Hong Kong and Macao Vocational Skills Competition for College Students aims to implement the guiding principles of the 20th CPC National Congress, and the Opinions of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council on Supporting Fujian to Explore a New Path for Cross-Strait Integrated Development and Cross-Strait Integrated Development Demonstration Area.  Through the establishment of an exchange platform, the competition promotes the mutual learning for university students on both sides of the Taiwan Straits, improves their professional quality, improves their vocational skills, jointly carries forward the excellent traditional Chinese culture, inherits the craftsman spirit, expands their employability, and promotes the integrated development of higher education on both sides of the Taiwan Straits.

This competition fully demonstrates the positive and courageous spirit of Hwa Nan teachers and students, as well as the effectiveness of the continuous teaching reform in promoting learning and teaching through competition.  In the future, Hwa Nan will continue to strengthen the cultivation of students' vocational skills, and provide more high-quality vocational and skilled talents for the society.
