On December 18, Hwa Nan held the 2024 Teaching Experience Exchange Meeting and Research Seminar. The meeting was chaired by the Dean of the Academic Affairs Office, Pan Shaofang.
Vice President Zhang Qiuping reviewed the achievements of teachers in teaching and scientific research in 2024, and affirmed the efforts and fruitful achievements of their teaching, scientific research, and skills competition. She proposed that Hwa Nan should continue to deepen the reform of education and teaching, strengthen the development of teachers, improve the quality of education and teaching, actively practice the functions of high-skilled personnel training, social service, cultural inheritance and innovation, and actively integrate into the process of Chinese-style modernization. It is hoped that the teachers will take this exchange meeting as an opportunity to learn from each other and jointly promote the teaching and research of Hwa Nan to a new level.
This year, Hwa Nan teachers published a total of thirty papers, of which two were published in university journals. Three scientific research projects at provincial level or above were granted. Three textbooks were published. Eleven patents and software monographs were authorized, including one invention patent. In the teaching ability competition, Hwa Nan won one provincial second prize and one third prize. In terms of vocational skills competition, our students have won excellent achievements with a total of 91 prizes at or above the third prize in skills competitions held by education authorities and industry associations, which fully demonstrates the effectiveness of Hwa Nan’s talent training and students' excellent professional skills and comprehensive quality. In terms of ideological and political curriculum, two courses were identified as provincial ideological and political model courses. In terms of social practice activities, Hwa Nan won the excellent organization unit of social practice activities themed Tracing Leaders' Footprints Continuously in the winter vacation of 2023-2024 academic year. According to the overall competition and scientific research points, the department of Big Data Application won the Excellent Organization Award. Chairman Yu Rongmin, President Ren Jianhong, Party Secretary Li Tingwang, vice President Zhang Qiuping and Huang Leijing, and Deputy Party Secretary Wu Lanjia presented certificates and awards to the winners.
After the award ceremony, eight teachers from six departments and two schools shared their understanding, research and application on the topic of AI leading teaching innovation from different perspectives, showing the innovative application and profound impact of AI technology in different education fields.
The exchange activity not only showed the extensive application and far-reaching impact of AI technology in the field of education, but also included in-depth analysis and discussion on the renewal of educational concepts, innovation of talent training models and deep analysis of social and cultural phenomena, providing a wealth of ideas and practical experience for training well-developed technical and technical talents. In the future, Hwa Nan will continue to deepen the reform of teaching and research, strengthen the integration and innovation of AI+ education, improve the level of teachers' teaching and research, and provide strong support for the high-quality development of the school.
