On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of China-Thailand diplomatic relations, the inaugural faculty-student delegation from Fujian Hwa Nan Women's College embarked on a landmark study tour to Bangkok Thonburi University, marking a significant milestone in educational exchange.
From January 16 to 21, a group of ten faculty members and students from the Art and Design Department, International Business Management Department, and Education Department of Hwa Nan participated in a six-day short-term study trip.Prior to departure, Foreign Affairs Office organized a pre-departure meeting. Vice President Huang Leijing attended the meeting, providing guidance on key considerations and delivering an inspiring pre-trip motivational speech.
The delegation was warmly received by Thonburi University upon arrival in Thailand, embarking on a journey of cultural immersion. From insightful lectures on women's leadership and Thai language culture to hands-on experiences with traditional Thai dance and the dynamic art of Muay Thai, every moment offered fresh discoveries.
We wandered through the exhibition halls of the School of Fine Arts, explored the living and learning spaces of the International Women's College, and naturally improved our English through authentic conversations. A special highlight was visiting the golf course owned by a distinguished alumnus, where we enjoyed its distinctive charm.
The trip concluded with an immersive experience of authentic Thai cuisine and historical culture, providing the perfect finale to this memorable visit.
The successful conclusion of this study trip would not have been possible without the meticulous preparation and warm hospitality of Thonburi University. The arrangements for both the academic sessions and activities reflected a deep commitment to educational exchange. Both faculty and students have gained immensely from this experience, which has also quietly advanced people-to-people exchanges and the in-depth integration of education between China and Thailand. Moving forward, our university will uphold an open approach to education, continuously deepening cooperation and exchanges with international institutions of higher learning to provide faculty and students with more diverse and high-quality educational resources and learning opportunities.
