The Applied English Major traditionally take the international teaching idea and foreign teacher resource, as well as the small-class teaching mode as our advantages.The vocational basic and core courses include the range of 《Oral English 》、《Comprehensive English 》、《English Phonics 》、《English Writing 》、《English Viewing and Listening 》、《English Pedagogy for Children》、《21st Century English Speech》and so on. Our extracurricular activities include English Speech Contest for Freshman, English Drama Contest and English Corner. We encourage students to obtain the certificates including Teacher Qualification, CET 4& CET6, Preschool English Teaching and VET Certificate. We aim to cultivate students with solid foundation of basic English abilities like listening、 speaking、reading and translating and they will also master the preliminary method and practise skills of English Education which can allow them to design English teaching plan, organize the class and have teaching reflection. With the extra knowledge of children’s growth and learning rule, our students are expected to be the interdisciplinary English teachers who can excel in the work of bilingual or international kindergartens、primary schools or other English quality education training schools.
