Hwa Nan Held the 41st Teachers' Day Celebration


On the morning of September 10, to carry forward the tradition of respecting teachers and valuing education, and to inspire the faculty to remain true to their original aspirations and keep their mission firmly in mind, our college held a commendation ceremony in the auditorium to celebrate the 41st Teachers' Day. The ceremony was presided over by Vice President Wu Lanjia.

The ceremony commenced with the solemn national anthem. Subsequently, centenarian teacher Ma Xiufa and college leaders extended their festive greetings to all faculty members through a video message.

At the meeting, President Ren Jianhong extended sincere festive greetings and high respect to all faculty and staff, encouraging everyone to follow the guidance of the educator's spirit, take the initiative to transform and remain true to the original aspiration amid the wave of the AI era, and compose a new chapter in building a strong educational nation.

During the awards segment, Party Secretary Zhang Lin announced the 30 Years of Dedication, Gratitude for Your Service honoree list. Council Chair Yu Rongmin presented gold medals and crystal trophies to the six teachers for 30 years working at Hwa Nan. President Ren Jianhong read out the list of Outstanding Staff for the 2024-2025 academic year. The 48 awardees, divided into four groups, came on stage to receive their honors. Party Secretary Zhang Lin, Vice Presidents Wu Lanjia and Huang Leijing, and Deputy Party Secretary Zhang Qiuping presented the awards respectively, thanking them for their contributions to the school's development in their respective roles.Teachers Luo Jianling and Chen Qin, as representative awardees, delivered speeches sharing their work experiences at Hwa Nan, offering valuable insights and educational wisdom, and expressing their deep affection and gratitude for the school.

The new academic year begins with a fresh outlook. Forty new teachers took the stage in groups to introduce themselves, and were presented with the school badges by President Ren Jianhong, Party Secretary Zhang Lin, Vice President Huang Leijing, and Deputy Party Secretary Zhang Qiuping.After donning the badges, all new teachers, along with student representatives from the Culture and Education Department, took a solemn oath to strive toward becoming Four-Good educators, with Vice President Huang Leijing leading the pledge and Deputy Party Secretary Zhang Qiuping witnessing the ceremony.

Following this, Deputy Branch Manager of Fujian Strait Bank's Fuzhou Gulou Sub-branch and Chief Librarian of the school library inaugurated the cherished Books Enlighten Education, Classics Honor Educators initiative for the awards ceremony.

At the event, students from the Department of Culture and Education sang a chorus Teachers Never Grow Old, celebrating educators and expressing wishes for the school and teachers to remain eternally youthful in spirit.

  The successful convening of this awards ceremony has further consolidated the consensus and strength of empowering educational development with the spirit of educators. All faculty members will follow the example of the awardees, integrate the educator's spirit into every aspect of teaching practice, and contribute to accelerating the modernization of education and building a strong educational nation.
