To clarify Hwa Nan's development strategy and define key priorities for the new academic year, Hwa Nan held its Opening Conference for the 2026–2027 Academic Year on September 2. The conference was attended by  Council Chiar Yu Rongmin, members of the leadership team, and all faculty and staff. The meeting was presided over by Yao Guangping, Assistant to the President.

At the conference, Vice President Wu Lanjia delivered a comprehensive review and summary of Hwa Nan's 2026 enrollment work. She presented the overall completion status, interpreted the details of student recruitment, and analyzed relevant data. She pointed out that through the collaborative efforts of all departments and the dedication of the entire faculty and staff, Hwa Nan's 2026 enrollment work was carried out in a standardized and orderly manner. The predetermined targets were achieved with high standards and quality, with an admission rate reaching 99.63%, yielding excellent results.Moving forward, Hwa Nan will focus on optimizing the structure of its five-year joint education programs and precisely allocating enrollment quotas for out-of-province recruitment, thereby promoting steady progress in enrollment work and ensuring the sustainable development of both student quality and enrollment scale.

President Ren Jianhong systematically outlined eight key tasks for the new semester, drawing a blueprint for action to propel Hwa Nan's high-quality development. She called on all faculty and staff to anchor Hwa Nan's development goals and coordinate efforts across four major areas: Party building and ideological education, academic teaching, campus culture, and management services.In Party building and ideological education, Hwa Nan will strengthen its foundation and forge the soul of its educational mission, deepen the reform of the Four-All Education, build a new ecosystem for ideological and political education, and ensure the high-level passing of the school-running evaluation guided by high-quality Party building.In academic teaching, efforts will focus on the critical tasks of the High-skilled Talent Cluster Training Program and the Double-high Construction Plan, striving for national-level landmark achievements. Hwa Nan will continue to strengthen its  faculty team building, consolidating the foundation of quality-driven  schooling.In campus culture, Hwa Nan will cultivate its unique women's characteristics, stimulate the vitality of its school-based culture, and nurture educational substance through distinctive cultural development.Regarding management services, Hwa Nan will strictly uphold the bottom line of safety, serve teachers and students with utmost care, optimize the allocation of funds and resources to improve school efficiency, and establish a sound supervision and closed-loop mechanism to ensure the effective implementation of all deployments.

The conference called on all faculty and staff to unify their thinking, build consensus, and take solid actions to elevate Hwa Nan's development in the new academic year to a new level.
