Hwa Nan Held Opening Ceremony for 2026 "Baosheng Class"

On the afternoon of September 9, Hwa Nan held the opening ceremony for the 2026 Baosheng Class at the auditorium. The ceremony was incorporated into the 42nd Teachers' Day Commendation Conference and was presided over by Vice President Wu Lanzha. Council Chair Yu Rongmin, members of the Party Committee and administrative leadership, all faculty and staff, and student representatives from the Department of Culture and Education attended the event. The total number of participants exceeded 400.

At the ceremony, President Ren Jianhong read out the Decision on Commending Outstanding Students and Outstanding Mentors of the 2025 Baosheng Class. Four teachers, Liu Yu, Pan Xiulan, Chen Wenwen and Yang Xingzhi, were honored with the title of Outstanding Student. Five teachers, Huang Yunwen, Lu Fang, Yu Rongqing, Lin Yanjin and Yao Guangping, were named Outstanding Mentors. Party Committee Secretary Zhang Lin presented certificates of honor to the award recipients and encouraged them to cherish the recognition, continue striving, and achieve new excellence in education and teaching.

As a sub-project of the college's Party-building brand, the Baosheng Class adopts a Four Duals approach, namely Dual Mentorship for Guidance, Dual Integration for Nurturing, Dual Dimensions for Enhancement, and Dual Evaluation for Motivation, to support young teachers in making the developmental leap from professional adaptation to educational identity. Twenty-six new teachers took the stage one by one for self-introductions and formally joined the Hwa Nan faculty with high spirits. President Ren Jianhong, Vice President Huang Leijing and Deputy Party Committee Secretary Zhang Qiuping presented college badges to the new teachers. Each badge carries the century-old spirit and traditions of Hwa Nan, marking the new teachers' formal admission into the Baosheng Class and their taking up the baton in carrying forward the college's century-old educational mission.

During the oath-taking session, Vice President Huang Leijing led the oath, with Deputy Party Committee Secretary Zhang Qiuping supervising. New teachers and teacher-education students stood together and took a solemn oath to cultivate talent for the Party and nurture talent for the nation. This demonstrated their firm commitment to the spirit of educators and to the cause of vocational education.

Party Committee Secretary Zhang Lin presented letters of appointment to the mentor representatives of the 2026 "Baosheng Class". This year, a dual-mentor team of 30 key teachers and senior Party members has been formed to provide targeted guidance for the professional development of young teachers and help them rapidly enhance their comprehensive competence. President Ren Jianhong and Party Committee Secretary Zhang Lin presented the class flag to the Baosheng Class committee. Council Chair Yu Rongmin presented books to the committee representatives.

Following the ceremony, President Ren Jianhong delivered a lecture for the Baosheng Class. Using keywords such as time-honored and youthful, she led the participants in reviewing the college's century-long development history, recalling the striving spirit and educational commitment of generations of Hwa Nan pioneers including Wang Shijing and Yu Baosheng, who dedicated themselves to serving the nation through education. She offered a profound interpretation of the essence of the Hwa Nan spirit. She encouraged all participants to internalize the spirit and put it into action, to stay true and persevere in education and teaching, and to let their youth blossom on the fertile soil of Hwa Nan.
